O SOLE TRIO
O Sole Trio is a vibrant classical crossover ensemble featuring the lush voices of soprano Erin Shields and baritone Giuseppe Spoletini, as well as the versatile and virtuosic David Shenton on piano and violin.
The trio has performed sold-out concerts at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Redlands Bowl , CA (to a crowd of 6,000+), Ronnie Scott's, London, and all over the United States, Canada, and the UK. O Sole Trio's shows are both touching and humorous. They breathe new life into familiar favorites with their unique and innovative arrangements.
Their first show, From Pavarotti to Pop, features a program of beloved Italian opera arias, Neapolitan songs as well as jazz and pop standards made popular by such singers as Louis Prima, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Connie Francis and Andrea Bocelli.
Their second show, Heart & Sole, celebrates the beautiful emotions that music evokes in our daily lives, reimagining well-known pop, classical and musical theater favorites, including Journey's Open Arms (in English and Italian), a Latin grooved O sole mio and a haunting version of the classic hymn Nearer My God to Thee.

Other credits include a performance on Fox 5’s Good Day New York with Rosanna Scotto and Dave Price, as well as a standing room only engagement at their Lincoln Center début at The David Rubenstein Atrium with their show From Pavarotti to Pop. In addition, O Sole Trio was chosen to perform for NY State Comptroller John Liu and his distinguished guests for his recent event honoring Italian American Heritage and Culture.
In June 2013, O Sole Trio was invited to perform at Dame Cleo Laine’s Music in the Garden Festival in Wavendon, as well as at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.
