NIKOLETA RALLIS

Hailed for her “voice of steel and dazzling prescence” (Koini Gnomi) and her “warm and beautiful voice” (Bachtrack).

​

Nikoleta made her Carnegie Hall debut at Stern Auditorium as the soprano soloist in John Rutter’s Requiem.  As a concertizer she has performed around the country.  She most recently presented a joint recital with piano virtuoso, Azamat Sydykov, at The National Opera Center in New York.   She recently joined Clayton Piano Festival in concert performing a selection of songs of various styles and genres including opera, art song, and musical theater.

In addition to the concert stage, she has performed on opera stages around the globe.  Most recently she was seen as Violetta Valèry in Verdi’s La Traviata, Nedda in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Rosalinda in Strauss' Die Fledermaus, and Laurie in Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land, all with the Brooklyn Orchestra at the Brooklyn Center of the Performing Arts.

She was a Resident Artist at Dicapo Opera Theatre performing the roles of Musetta in La Bohème and Adina in L’elisir d’amore.   She joined Annapolis Opera as a featured artist on the Celebrate Opera concert, performing arias and duets from Bellini’s I Capuletti and i Montecchi and Donizetti’s Don Pasquale.

Nikoleta joined the Festival of the Aegean in Syros, Greece performing the title role in Wolf-Ferrari’s Cenerentola.  She was featured as a soloist in the Verdi Gala open-air concert in the capital of Ermoupolis celebrating the life and music of Giuseppe Verdi. 

​

Nikoleta joined Opera in Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virgina for their production of L’elisir d’amore.   Other recent operatic performances include Micaëla in Carmen with the New York Lyric Opera and Mimì in La Bohème with the Martha Cardona Theater.

​

Nikoleta was a young artist with Sherill Milnes and Friends Young Artist Program for two seasons, performing as a concert soloist throughout the state of Florida.

​

She appeared in various productions at the Oberlin Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music.  Roles there included, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Niece 1 in Peter Grimes, and Sophie in Werther. She traveled to Arezzo, Italy where she performed the role of Ore Due in Cavalli’s L’Egisto with Oberlin in Italy.

Nikoleta holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a Masters of Music from Brooklyn College-Conservatory with additional post-graduate studies at Manhattan School of Music.

 

In addition to being an avid performer, Nikoleta is the President of Wilmington Music Festival in North Carolina and the Founder and President of Olympia Arts LLC, home to Eurasia Festival and New York International Vocal Competition.  She currently resides in New York City with her husband, famed Kyrgyz concert pianist Aza Sydykov.
