Esther Abrami

Born in France in 1996, Esther graduated  from the Aix-en-Provence Conservatoire at the age of 14.  She continued her studies at Chetham’s  School of Music in Manchester with Jan Repko. In 2015 Esther began her undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music in London and currently studies with Leonid Kerbel. This year she is representing the Royal College of Music at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.

 

Described as a ‘rising star’ by the Strings Magazine, Esther has performed in world renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, The Royal festival hall, Bridgewater Hall in the UK,  and the Barbican Centre in London.

 

Esther has been awarded  a first prize  at the  Vatelot Rampal violin competition, at The Arts of Instrumental Performance Concert Series  “The Arts of Strings” and at the  IMKA International Music Competition  2017. She was awarded 3rd prize at the International Music Competition in Salzburg Austria.

 

In February on Valentine’s day she surprised random New Yorkers with virtuoso music, in Central Park and on the streets of New York. Her spontaneous serenades include Vivaldi and Elgar as well as some on the spot improvisation.

 

Esther plays on a Carlo Giuseppe Testore of Milan violin, dated ca. 1700, label Giovanni Grancino.
