Barrel House Chuck, aka Harvey Charles Goering was a legend in Chicago. As of 2012 he maintained a full performance schedule in Chicago, around the U S and occasionally abroad, including a regular solo appearance on Wednesday nights at the Barrel House Flat, in Lincoln Park.
In 2013 and 2014 Barrel House Chuck was nominated for a Blues Music Award in the category of Pinetop Perkins. In 2014 "Drifting from Town to Town" was nominated for a Blues music award in the category Traditional Blues Album of the Year.

Sadly Chuck passed away after a long illness at the age of 58, on December 12, 2016.
